Born and raised in Massachusetts, I received my Masters of Fine Arts degree in Writing for Children at Simmons College Simmons College. I also work in Advertising and Promotions for a textbook publishing company here in Boston.I write middle grade and young adult novels, though have also tried my hand at picture books. Primarily a realistic fiction writer, I also love to write fairy tales, historical fiction, and a good mystery.
Some of my favorite books include Tuck Everlasting, From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankenweiler, Charlotte's Web, and Hang A Thousand Trees with Ribbons. When I'm not reading children's books, I also enjoy reading biographies, social histories, and Jane Austen.
Some other loves of mine are dance, art, baking, watching movies, and good company.
